When are the monthly assessments due?
The monthly assessments are due on the 1st of each month. After the 10th of the month, they are considered late and a late fee will be charged. [Top]
Do I have to pay my monthly assessments?
Yes, you must pay your monthly assessments.
Your monthly assessments pay for maintenance, landscaping, common area insurance, and other operating costs that are needed to run the association.
Homeowners who do not pay their monthly assessments will be turned over to collections and the association attorney if necessary. [Top]
Can I pay my Assessments online?
Yes you can now pay your assessments securely online. Call the Office to get your account number. (630) 837-8160.
Once you have your account number click the "Pay Online" tab at the top right of the page. Just follow the directions and you can easily make your payment online safely and securely. [Top]

You must pay your monthly assessments. Even if you Real Estate agent said you did not have to.

What do my assessments pay for?
Your monthly assessments pay for many of the services you receive or have access to.
Some of the services include items such as landscaping, snow removal, fence repairs, minor roof repairs, new trees and foliage, management services, maintenance staff salaries, clubhouse, pool, insurance, parking lot maintenance, parking space striping and numbering, asphalt repair / replacement, the light post in the front or back of your home and much more. The Oaks Improvement Association Board of Directors meetings are held the 4th Monday of each month at 7PM at the Oaks clubhouse. [Top]
I want to build a deck, replace windows / outside doors, put up a dish antenna do I need approval? From the Village or the Oaks?
Yes you need approval from the Oaks and sometimes from the Village of Streamwood in order to undertake certain projects.
A deck is an example of something that would require BOTH Oaks and Village approval.
Installing a satellite dish usually requires only the Oaks approval.
Ask BEFORE you start to avoid fines penalties and project delays. [Top]
Some people on my court are being disruptive by playing loud music, having parties, loud cars etc. Do I call the Oaks Office or the Police Department?
Complaints such as loud music, loud noise / parties, speeding cars etc should be directed to the Streamwood Police Department. Then AFTER you have called the police call the office to let us know where the problem was so we can follow up with the police department and homeowner. [Top]
Can I drill, screw, cut or put holes in the siding or brick?
No. You may not attach anything by screws, nails or other similar fastener to the siding. Under no circumstances are any holes to be made in the siding. No holes in the siding at all! [Top]
My neighbors car is leaking oil or something all over theirs and my parking spaces. What should I do?
If permissible, talk to your neighbor and let them know their car is leaking. There is a good chance they may not be aware of it. If this is not an option, please call the office and report the situation. Oil and other liquids leaking from vehicles will damage the asphalt. [Top]

Directors of the Oaks do not get paid. It is a volunteer position. All directors must pay their assessments. [Top]
When is garbage day? Am I required to have garbage service? What if garbage day falls on a holiday? What are the holidays?
The required garbage removal service is NOT included in your monthly assessment dues.
Each homeowner is required to pay for their own Garbage/Recycling removal service through Veolia Waste Services. The Village of Streamwood contracts with this vendor and requires each resident to have garbage removal service.
Collection Schedule
Monday is The OAKS day for Garbage / Recyclables collection. If a Monday falls on one of the six (6) holidays listed below, the collection day will be the next day (Tuesday) for that week.

- July 4th
- Labor Day
- Thanksgiving Day
- Christmas Day
